Independent Insurance Brokers
___________________________________
Independent Insurance Brokers based in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire was a customer secured during
one of our trips to Aberdeen where The Bureau took several Website orders in March 2000, following
the CGU Club Elite Internet Workshops. The firm was a commercial brokerage arranging most types
of business cover, including rope access insurance. This was particularly relevant, as rope access
insurance, apart from being used by window cleaners applied to the many oil rigs in the North Sea
as well. If you typed in ‘rope access insurance’ on any search engine, and there plenty more in those
days, their site was one of the first to appear.

Aston Lark. They ran a single office close to the centre of Stourbridge where they arranged a broad
mix of commercial, personal and specialist lines. In addition to more typical commercial covers they

They were also deeply involved with the Princes’ Trust Charity through which they sponsored a
number of young people. The Bureau created 3 IHN Websites over the years.

Insurance Express / People
___________________________________
Insurance Express / People, located close to Stourbridge in the West Midlands, (ex. Brokers Monthly
Magazine) but with their Editor based near Tonbridge in Kent, was an insurance press publication
for which The Bureau created an editable Website. At a meeting in Covent Garden in London at
Christmas time in 2010, The Bureau discussed the design of their first Website. This allowed the
editors to update the site when required whilst continuing to publish a printed version of the
magazine. The Bureau already had close associations with Brokers Monthly, the then highly
respected ‘monthly’ trade magazine and editor Brian Susman from which this new publication
was created.
