Thatch Underwriting, based in Ropley in Hampshire asked The Bureau to design a Website for
them before the start of the CGU Club Elite Roadshows. They realised early on that their specialist
insurance would be ideal for the Web. The business specialised in thatched and listed properties

offering competitive premiums for this high-risk sector. The business was bought a few years later
for its access to this specialism.

Titan Insurance Services

Titan Insurance Services are based in West London, were secured from a mailing that The Bureau
arranged with the IIB in June 2006. They manage a wide portfolio of small business, professional and
international insurance services, including protection for construction, international for private and
business foreign nationals living in UK, IT, leisure and catering, life protection, private medical, and
SMEs.

Towergate GHBC

Towergate GHBC took over from TRS Hertfordshire in Hemel Hempstead, for which The Bureau
arranged a rebranding of the of the business but including most of the existing range of insurances
with one or two extras such as Management Liability and a Crime and a Ransom policy.

Trade Direct Insurance

Trade Direct Insurance was originally owned and managed by Holbrook Insurance Brokers,

mentioned earlier in the Hs, in Godalming in Surrey and The Bureau’s first quote and buy service.

The Website offered a series of tradesman insurances for such things as tools, contractor all risks
and liability for other brokers and agents to quote and buy online. The latest version is still in
operation and based in Farnham, Surrey.

Tredray Insurance Brokers

Tredray Insurance Brokers, based in Wokingham in Berkshire ordered their Website immediately
after a CGU Club Elite Internet Roadshow held at CGU’s Guildford branch in June 1999. As with
many of these early converts the Website was relatively small and split between their personal
and commercial lines, and for whom we registered a number of Domains and established their
email service. Tredray were keen users and continued to develop their site adding new features
and functions over the years.
