Regulatory compliance.
Whilst not yet a FCA or ICO regulatory requirement, it seems likely that firms that use encrypted
emails will earn the trust of their customers and suppliers simply because they appear serious
about their email communications by using encryption, when required, to protect personal data
from theft and fraud. GDPR and the 2018 UK Data Protection Act requires adequate protection
for personal data such as encryption.
Secure from sender to recipient.
Personalising email communications through encryption is a good way to be sure the links and
attachments on incoming emails are from a safe and reliable source. The worry that the email is
NOT from who it claims to be is removed. Immediately the risk of a phishing attack is reduced.
Protecting your personal data.
The points mentioned above are just a few of the many benefits of having at least one encrypted
email address in your office for sending more sensitive information. The additional security and
peace of mind it gives staff, customers and suppliers is huge, making each more confi dent in
their email communications with you.
Web Security – why you should use https://

At a time when every organisation must pay more attention to the security of the personal data
it holds, updating your Website to a secure https:// address is an essential action to take now.
More and more sites have adopted this as a minimum standard to suggest to their audience and
regulators that they take their online security seriously. Indeed, since the introduction of GDPR,
SSL Certificate Registrations have risen massively, particularly in regulated sectors.
