This firm also had an IFA side to the business for which was designed a separate site. The brokerage
arranged most standard personal and commercial insurance lines as well as a specialist product for
care workers which has been mentioned earlier under the Direct Care Insurance banner at

The Bureau designed and ran.

Martin Kemp Insurance Services, originally based in Falmouth and now in Newport Pagnell,

Buckinghamshire, first engaged The Bureau in 2000 following a Misys User Group Roadshow that
The Bureau Spoke at. A relatively small brokerage with a selection of personal and commercial lines,
they now have a broader range of insurance including farms and equine, landlords, and personal lines
for caravans, motorcycles and young drivers’ insurance plans.

McAra Associates

McAra Associates based in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, were another CGU Club Elite roadshow
customer secured in 2001. Established in 1984, the fi rm offered their experience and expertise in

insurance and financial advice for which The Bureau created a single site. Like many in the North East

of Scotland, the offshore oil industry created a lot of business for them including liability, marine and
‘rope access’ insurance that always got a first page ranking at most search engines at the time.

McHardy and Burnett, another Aberdeen based firm, who had a brokerage called Collins Halden

and Burnett mentioned earlier in the C’s, were the financial adviser arm of this business for which

The Bureau created a separate financial services Website. The bulk of their business was investments

for pensions, ISAs, savings and stock and shares.
