I first met Alastair Murray by prior appointment and at our offices in Bracknell, following a telephone marketing call received from him and his Company; “The Bureau”. I recognised his name and business from articles read and particularly contained in “Insurance People”. The appointment made at our convenience and the meeting held, was very informative. Alastair readily understood what Flag Insurance Brokers were looking for. It was obvious that Alastair and his Company had prepared many websites for tens, if not hundreds of insurance industry Companies. We felt comfortable with this notion and after some research and examination of other insurance industry websites that his Company had prepared , felt able to proceed.

The Bureau first put a website design proposal together after understanding what it is that we were looking for, at our meeting. The proposal arrived in less than two weeks, timed from our first meeting. From this point, we were able to take the project forward swiftly. We considered the content provided and applied several reviews, keen to have things presented as we wanted them to appear. The Bureau and Alastair’s patience when dealing with our requirement was exemplary at all times. The working speed at which this website building Company replied to our reviews, was also very good and worth commenting on. The Bureau as they work in the insurance industry arena, were able to ensure that text was compliant and suitable for the easiest location by the varying search engines. In point of fact, due to the skill-set possessed and demonstrated by Alastair Murray and The Bureau team, a complicated task was rendered simple and effective.

The team at Flag Insurance Brokers having received a first-rate service from this provider during the construction of the website, decided that we should host and run our website on The Bureau’s server for the future. We may recommend The Bureau to any enquirer contemplating the building of a first, or having need of refreshing their present website. Only good will come of it.

We commissioned The Bureau to design a new Website for our music insurance services targeting bands and groups, recording studios, festivals and music professionals. After one meeting The Bureau offered us their design proposals, which was exactly the look we were after. The Website was then designed and published to one of their test addresses and after a few tweaks here and there, was published live.

The Bureau made the project very simple by getting on with the job; producing good designs and then implementing them promptly and accurately. 4 years ago we were drowning in confusion. We were looking for someone to take over and re-vamp our website, having had an extremely frustrating and negative experience with our original designers.

We recently employed Alastair from The Bureau to build a website for us as to date we had a very limited web presence and had decided now was the right time to develop an interactive website for the benefit of both us as the provider and our clients.

After two meetings, convenient to us, we agreed to proceed with what Alastair had designed.

His initial design was very close to what we required (which I am sure was mainly due to the thorough initial fact finding meeting) and Alastair was both flexible and happy to incorporate any amendments to the design which we thought would be of benefit. Equally Alastair, with the benefit of his experience, was happy to tactfully highlight the downside of any incorporations we considered as a great idea, for which Alastair had the opposite opinion.

We are Independent Financial Advisers and Alastair’s knowledge of our industry and sector was of significant benefit in ensuring that our site was developed both accurately and in a timely manner.

The final product was exactly as we had envisaged and the support of The Bureau in making the slight tweaks since our site has launched has been as equally impressive as the original design/build.

This is the second Website The Bureau have designed for us. The first was back in 2007/2008 and the latest was completed in late 2010. We chose The Bureau originally because they specialise in publishing Websites for insurance brokers like us and so understand our markets, and the strict regulatory requirements.

We were pleased the first time and so we have used them again to design a bigger and more interactive site which I think has been achieved. Our staff like the new site and our clients have all been very positive, saying that it offers more functionality and, although bigger, is easier to navigate.

The Bureau is an experienced Website designer so you get good feedback on your Website development plans as well as fast and friendly service. They always seem to be available to answer questions and have any corrections or minor changes done usually within hours.

We have added a Blog now and have plans for additional features which we will ask The Bureau to add for us in the coming months.

The Bureau designed our quote and buy Website over 4 years ago since when it has grown and become a large complex transactional site on which our clients quote and buy specialist commercial liability insurance. Our site is not an "online shop" for simple trinkets with fixed prices to add to an online shopping basket, but a comprehensive insurance trading platform for insurance brokers to trade in specialist insurance.

The site does quotations, writes business, issues insurance policy documents, claims, monthly business reports, mid term adjustments, insurance renewals and plenty more, requiring a high degree of skill and care to design and maintain. Although not cheap we feel we receive good value from The Bureau, who have always given us prompt and attentive service.

Our website was designed by 'The Bureau'. It was a very seamless process, Alastair took on board our design requests and incorporated them into the finished product. Alastair has been extremely helpful and is always on hand to update and amend our site either by phone or email. We are currently in the process of revamping the site with the help of Alastair to include on-line payment options, blogging and customer surveys. I contacted The Bureau as I had worked with Alastair Murray, the owner, in the past. He always seemed to know what he was talking about when it came to Website design and marketing for insurance brokers, so we asked him for a proposal and sample design. These were duly sent to us and we met to discuss and progress things.

The Bureau is responsible for a lot of broker Websites all around the country so we felt confident that they would do a good job. Alastair's own understanding of the insurance business helped and he quickly understood what we were trying to achieve. This made a project we had been worried about a lot easier; basically The Bureau took it off our hands and got on with it. Using some basic company and product information from us they created our new Website, publishing it first to a demonstration address for us to review. After a few minor text refinements the site was published on time and at the agreed cost.

We were very happy with the final design, look and feel of the Website and indeed the whole Website design process because The Bureau made it easy for us. They knew what needed to be said and where on the site, where to track-down suitable licensed images, what the search engines wanted and then provided some very useful free extras...
